The National Center for Children's Vision and Eye Health at Prevent Blindness

The Center is designed to support the development of public health infrastructure to promote and ensure a comprehensive, multi­-tiered continuum of vision care and eye health for young children. The Center is committed to conducting this work through strong partnerships, sound science, and targeted policy initiatives.

Vision Systems

Presently there exists little consistency among stakeholders in children’s vision health in regards to frequency, referral criteria, or follow-up in regards to vision screening referral outcomes. The development of a more uniform approach to children’s vision health systems is critically needed.
